We’re thrilled to share the amazing news with our players and the entire VR community: Sugar Mess – Let’s Play Jolly Battle has been awarded Best XR/VR Game at the 13th edition of Gamescom Latam BIG Festival!
This recognition is a huge milestone for us at JollyCo. We put a lot of heart into developing Sugar Mess, and being selected as the winner among other outstanding XR/VR titles from around the world is something we’re incredibly proud of. It’s a rewarding moment that we share with all the players who believed in the game, gave it a try, and helped spread the word.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the BIG Festival organizers and Gamescom Latam for their ongoing commitment to indie games and virtual reality. Since 2012, the BIG Festival has been a platform where innovation and creativity shine, and it has grown even more influential with its new partnership under the Gamescom Latam umbrella. The festival highlights 100 standout games each year and gives developers a valuable opportunity to showcase their work to a global audience. To be not only nominated but selected as a winner means a lot to us.
Sugar Mess – Let’s Play Jolly Battle is a vibrant, family-friendly VR arcade shooter available on Meta Quest. In the game, players enter the Sugar Kingdom – a world full of sweets, surprises, and challenges – and take on the role of Sugar Prince, a brave hero on a mission to save a cherished friendship. To set things right, Sugar Prince must battle waves of mischievous enemies, face off against powerful bosses, solve tricky puzzles, and even tackle rhythm-based trials. With a mix of colorful visuals, engaging gameplay, and intuitive mechanics, each level offers a fresh experience designed to entertain players of different ages.
The game features a story-driven Campaign Mode, a challenging Nightmare Mode for those seeking tougher battles, and additional content through a rhythmic adventure. Whether you’re shooting flying cakes or mighty bosses, the gameplay encourages quick reflexes, creativity, and a good sense of rhythm. We wanted to create something that families can enjoy together and that brings out the fun side of VR.
